Johnny Cash can take credit for many things, but I’m not sure postmodernism is among them.One of the weirder covers I've heard lately was Fergie doing a more-or-less straight cover of Heart's "Barracuda." It wasn't horrible in an Orgy-covering-New Order kind of way; it was actually surprisingly OK, but still very head-scratch-worthy. Apparently she recorded it for the Shrek the Third soundtrack.

Nothing Fergie does is NOT head-scratchy, so in this sense it's true to form.
I like how she famously wet her pants in concert, and then had a hit single all about how delicious her crotch is. I mean, that's chutzpah.
