A Fun Presidential Quiz

James Taranto took time off from being snide a couple of days ago and instead posted a challenging Presidential trivia quiz. He posted the answers yesterday.

Doing some research (mostly using Wikipedia's vast collection of Presidential lists) I was able to come up with the answers to all of the questions except for the ordered lists, which were all doable, given enough time and effort.

Hey, Taranto himself suggested looking through a particular book.

You're right, though, off the top of my head I could only come up with answers to a few of them, and those I wasn't sure of.

I think this was a trivia quiz designed to be researched, although certainly someone with a good knowledge of the Presidency would have a good jump-start on things.

The U.S. Presidency, like baseball, the Oscars, and the last few centuries of the papacy, is one of those things that's well-documented enough and regular enough so that variations are notable to have all sorts of fun trivia questions around it.

I'm inspired and will come up with my own Presidential quiz soon, maybe tonight. I'll specify whether it's research-trivia or top-of-one's-head trivia.
