There are threeprominentcolleges in the country known by the initials OSU. When you hear "OSU," what is the first school that comes to mind for you, and what part of the country do you live in (or, alternately, did you grow up in)?
I graduated from "The Ohio Statue University" so...
Also I'd like to point out that osu.edu is The Ohio State university so the internet has it right. (Although I have to admit when I was in school it was www.ohio-state.edu (which still works but redirects you to osu.edu))
On this occasion I thought of Oklahoma first, then Ohio, then Oregon. I grew up in Texas.
However I think on a different day I might come up with Ohio before Oklahoma, because I'm more aware of research that was done at Ohio, I remember reading papers from there.
I would probably almost always come up with Oregon last.
OSU is Ohio for me. Not surprising given that I grew up in Wisconsin and my mother is originally from Ohio. However, I don't think I ever really thought about it as OSU until I applied there for grad school.
I suppose one could call them all "prominent," but, really, Ohio State is at least as prominent as Oregon State and Oklahoma State put together, both academically and athletically, with Oregon State maybe being twice as prominent as Oklahoma State.

Oregon State University. They courted me heavily during my junior and senior years of high school

I had to think hard to come up with anything, but when pressed I came up with Oregon, and couldn't think of any others. I grew up in Zimbabwe.
Nah uhh!
