I've been kind of disturbed by their attire as well. The men look basically normal, button-down shirts and pants, possibly a tie. The women look odd. Not because they're unfashionable, which is true, but because they've gone to some lengths to look the same strange way. I don't think there's anything about this look that says that the woman doesn't care what she looks like. It's very deliberate, put together. Those hair dos do not say "I have no time" they say, "I spend time with my sister-wives and we do each other's hair." The more elaborate braids probably could not be done to oneself. It's the pompadour that is the strangest thing to me, especially since it's so much easier *not* to have the pomp.
Those dresses, at first, look like they'd be easy to make too. (I'm assuming that the women make their own clothes.) While the skirt part looks relatively easy, the collars and sleeves take some serious effort.
And then there's that poor girl with the unibrow who keeps getting camera time.
