Have them all leave comments! Like this one! (site meter ticks up one notch)
I use Sitemeter too. Its free version is pretty ugly, but it give me the goods, like the time somebody went to my blog after googling "baby suri cruise deformed."
I used to be obsessed with checking Sitemeter, if only to see: (a) who are the referring sites?; (b) what search terms led them to the site?
It's also an instructive way to see how the blogosphere works. A link from Greencine Daily will yield 50+ more hits daily. A link from a high traffic political blog might get 200 more hits.
As for polls, I imagine Blogger will add the feature in the next year or two.

I been using http://www.SiteMeter.com happily for years. They include step-by-step instructions for integrating into your blogger template.

I agree - SiteMeter is fun, particularly the weird Google searches that lead someone to your blog.
I've wondered that about polls on Blogger, too. I don't think I've ever seen one.
